Chris Najarro
Chris accepted her challenging role during the infancy of Family Promise of Santa Clarita Valley in March 2011. Chris started her career in Social Services as a CalWORKS Case Worker at Child Care Resource Center (CCRC) in Chatsworth, California. She was promoted to her first leadership position in 2004, and ended her 11-year career with CCRC as CalWORKS Department Coordinator, managing the Department and supervising over 30 employees. Chris is a bilingual social services professional; a graduate of California State University, Northridge, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a concentration in Social Work and is currently a Master of Social Work candidate at University of Southern California.

Yarely Guevara

Case Manager

Yarely joined Family Promise of Santa Clarita in March 2015 as the program’s Case Manager. Prior to joining Family Promise, Yarely worked at Los Angeles Superior Court filing retraining orders for Domestic Violence Victims. Additionally, she worked for Public Counsel where she combined her experience in law and passion for social work, advocating for children’s legal rights. Yarely is a graduate of University of California, Santa Barbara, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and is currently a Master of Social Work candidate at University of Southern California.

Spencer Vicente

Program Assistant
Spencer Vicente
Spencer Vicente joined Family Promise fall of 2015 as a USC Master of Social Work (MSW) intern. Since joining the organization as a MSW Intern, Spencer has transitioned into the role of Program Assistant. Prior to joining Family Promise, Spencer attended Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Psychology and minored in both Women’s and Religious Studies. In addition to his academic commitments, Spencer was also highly involved in the college’s dance and cheerleading teams, and also took part in the school’s Greek life.
