Rev. Dr. Roché Vermaak, Ph.D.

Executive Director

Roché loves being asked,”What do you do?”

His answer? “I help change lives, I help one homeless family at a time to get their life back on track, to help them transition to a home where their children can grow, thrive, laugh, and build memories. I believe that living in a home is a basic human right and that children should not be homeless. I’m committed to provide the best services to families in SCV who are not served by other agencies and show them that they are loved by God and us.”

Roché holds Ph.D, Master in Theology, Master of Divinity, Bachelor Honors in Greek, and Bachelor in Theology degrees, all cum laude. He is a proud Bruin after completing his certification in Nonprofit Management at UCLA. After pastoring 8 years in South Africa, he immigrated and served 4 years in the Imperial Valley and 12 years in Los Angeles. As ordained pastor, he welcomes the opportunity to preach at local congregations and engage our youth groups.

Roché is excited about this new chapter in his life and about discovering where God will lead our board to strengthen and expand the services of FPofSCV.  Together with our faith partners and volunteers, we will change homelessness in SCV. That’s a Promise to our Families.
