After one year and some thousands of volunteer hours later, we are celebrating our first year of operation this June.  So, we're having a birthday party.  Click on this article's head line to see a listing of our major accomplishments and how you could help us continue in our efforts.

 

 

 
The Stork Visits FPSCV! Print E-mail
Along with the blessings of Easter, Family Promise SCV was blessed with a new guest.  Baby Jessie was born to mother and FPSCV guest, Aura.  Baby Jessie, born at 8:18pm on Easter weighed 7lb. 7oz. and was 18in. long.

Small "welcome' gifts for baby and mom would be greatly welcomed.  Gifts should be dropped off at the FPSCV Resource Center during regular hours.
 
New Family Needs Print E-mail

We have a new family that we're helping and , in addition to items in our WishList, would appreciate donations for the following items:

  • Water (gallon or 2 gallon containers, preferred)
  • Pillows (new)
  • Cleaning supplies: All purpose disinfectant, floor cleaning solution, and window cleaner
  • Air freshener
  • Newborn and Size 5 diapers
  • Baby wash and lotion
  • Hair ties, clips, and pins
  • Rubber cleaning gloves

It’s hard to believe that 2011 is marching on, and our Family Promise network will soon complete six months of operation since our June 5th Opening. We have learned so much in these short months and, though we are just beginning, FP of SCV has touched the lives of countless kids and families!

Box City 2011 Participants,
Thank You!

FPSCV's Box City 2011 at Bridgeport Park went smoothly and was successful in bringing in more funds to support Family Promise SCV's Day Center and programs.  A special thanks to this year co-coordinators, Rahel Woo and Gary Choppe', who did an outstanding job of bringing things together, to the many generous sponsors, volunteers, and performers.  To all of you who donated, thank you for your much appreciated generocity.  A special thanks to the various group leaders: PJ Vernon, Registration, Amber Alexander, Programming, Dirk Marks, Facilities, Candy Spahr, Donors/Sponsors, Tom and Penni Royston, Promotions, Lucy Mulholland, Volunteer Coordinator, Jim Mulholland, DonorPerfect Systems, Laurie Grisbach/Tawn Hanson, First Aid.
