Grants Awarded to Family Promise SCV

July 2011 - FPSCV was the recipient of The Signal SCV Helping Hands Grant in the amount of $500. The grant was applied for by Candy Spahr. This will help enormously with supplying the Resource Center with much needed day-to-day supplies.

April 2011 - Family Promise of SCV has been awarded a $5,000 grant from the Fanny & Svante Kinstrom Foundation through the efforts of Board of Directors Reverend David Vernon and Larry Marsh. The Fanny & Svante Kinstrom Foundation is a charity that focuses on funding projects addressing homelessness, the elimination of poverty, and promoting the arts. Family Promise of SCV gratefully thanks the Fanny & Svante Kinstrom Foundation for this honor. Funds will be will be used to complete needed renovations to our Resource Center and to help purchase items needed as we prepare to "open our doors."

March 2011 - Through the efforts of Larry Marsh, FPSCV was awarded Mother Joseph Fund of Providence Health & Services for $20,000. “We chose to provide Family Promise of SCV funding because the work of this organization closely matches the work of Mother Joseph, the founder of Providence Health and Services, of reaching out to the poor and vulnerable through compassionate service,” said Sister Colleen Settles, Chief Mission Integration Officer for Providence.
